The Great Lakes Lobster Fishing Co. was founded on one bold belief: just because nobody has ever caught a lobster in the Great Lakes does not mean we should stop trying. We fish from weathered boats, check empty traps with pride, and treat every foggy morning like history might finally happen. Are we successful? Depends how you define success. If it means lobster, no. If it means commitment, delusion, and excellent hats, absolutely.

Our Business model Step by step
How does it work
01.
we get up early
Before sunrise, before coffee, and well before common sense has a chance to talk us out of it, we head for the water with high hopes and low expectations.
02.
we go set the traps
We bait the traps, say a few encouraging words, and lower them into waters where lobster have shown absolutely no interest in existing.
03.
we come back at night with nothing (so FAR!)
After a long day of honest effort, we return with empty traps, wet boots, and the kind of confidence only fools and founders can afford.
04.
We go onto MySpace and try to sell merch
With no lobster to show for ourselves, we do the next best thing: sell hats, shirts, and proof that branding can survive where fishing cannot.

Every product we sell is inspired by long mornings, empty traps, questionable weather, and the unshakable belief that a bad idea can still make a very good hat. We do not sell lobster yet but we are getting closer. In the mean time we sell the legend of almost catching one.
Non-Free Shipping
We charge for shipping because boats, trucks, tape, boxes, and mild regret all cost money. Your order will arrive eventually, handled by people who know the difference between “packed carefully” and “thrown in anger
We can put grease and dirt on it before you get it
For customers who hate looking new, we offer the spirit of pre-aged authenticity. Every item already comes with disappointment built in, but the dirt makes it feel earned.
